Marty attended St. Joseph Grade School and High School, graduating in 1973. Six months into attending Emporia State Teachers College, Marty wrote home asking his parents for money.     Duane Edward Sax, 58, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, Kansas, due to complications  from diabetes.  Duane was born September 15, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Louis E. and Betty Sax. He was a 1978 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. On August 25, 1984, Duane married Denise Hobdy at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee, Kansas. In 1986, Duane and Denise had a daughter, Lindsay and in 1989, son, Brian. Duane was preceded in death by his father, Louis Edward Sax in 2016.
